NYC GRO Girls Only Sessions

Homage TF, 615 Degraw St, Brooklyn, NY

Each month, GRO NYC and Homage are providing two all girl skateboard sessions. One session focused on beginning riders and another for more advanced riders. This is the advanced session. To find out about the beginner sessions see the other events or visit girlsriders.org

GRO NYC x Homage Advanced Skate

Last Wednesday of each month
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

April 30th, May 28th, June 25th…

The advanced skate session is geared for intermediate and advanced riders. Although learning is possible at any GRO event, this session is also for those that already have the basics down and just want to ride.

Girls are encouraged to choose this session if they have mastered the basics of riding. If you are already comfortable on the board, know how to drop in on the ramp and how to stay safe in a fast paced park session.

By providing two sessions for two different ability levels, girls will be both safer and have more area to ride in the way best suited for that ability. If you are not sure where you fit in, ask. If you are already comfortable riding, but a beginner on ramps, you may consider attending both sessions.

_____________________________________

Every participant must have a waiver signed with Homage to ride this event. Riders 18 and over can sign up at the session. Riders under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign. If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany a minor, email info@girlsriders.org to get a waiver before the event.

There are some boards and safety gear available to use if you don’t have your own. To ensure the availability of the gear you need, email info@girlsriders.org to provide a specific request of what you need.

GRO Sessions are free, but donations are welcome and help sessions going.

For complete and the most up to date on this or any GRO event visit girlsriders.org.
