Hailed by Time Out New York as "contemporary music taste-makers,"
This evening Luna will be wearing designs by Louda Larrain whose work has been featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, written about in the New York Times and sought out by Chanel Couture, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Gianfranco Ferre, Leonard, Cerruti, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Torrente, Luis Feraud and has been purchased by Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. Her workk has been exhibited at arts festivals worldwide.
Ear to Mind is a New York City based arts organization which strives to present innovative programs that allow the public to experience contemporary music in non-traditional contexts, as well as by producing publications that allow the public to gain intimate knowledge of the contemporary music field, simultaneously providing composers and performers with a platform for their work. Ear to Mind also ties NYC based artists to Korean Concert Halls and Festivals. They will bring The Bang on a can All-Stars to Korea for their first performances in this country. Ear to Mind is also embarking on new commissions from Julia Wolfe and Reiko Fueting for the upcoming event at Zankel Hall.

Luna Cholong Kang'a Career began with a successful solo debut with the Seoul National Symphony Orchestra and the Jana´c'ek Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Zephyrus Project Orchestra, Delphi Orchestra, and Manhattan Chamber Sinfonia. She has received numerous prizes, including 1st prize of Umack Chunchu.
Before coming to the States to continue her studies at Yale University, she received her Master's degree under the tutelage of Ransom Wilson. She has performed in master classes with world renowned artists. These include Jeanne Baxtresser, Denis Bouriakov, Karl-Heinz Schutz and Jean-Michel Tanguy.
She has been an active chamber musician in various concerts with Le Train Bleu Ensemble, Windscape woodwind Quintet. In 2014, she was invited at Tong Young International Music Festival and in Korea as a young contemporary performer to play with the Bang on a Can All-Stars in their premiere performance in Korea at Kumho Art Hall.
