Brett Johnson Bio
With influences ranging from early house and disco to turntablism and techno, Brett Johnson successfully straddles the line between knowledgeable "thinking man's" DJ and genuine, primal floor-filler. Brett's sound is best known as groovy, bumping house with a hearty dose of techno elements, crafted and mixed in a way that is truly identifiable as his own. Whether DJing or creating music, his wild card is an ability to inject warmth and soul into his electronic sound. The result is an impressive discography filled with unique statements, otherworldly surprises, and undeniable club stompers.

Releasing his first record in 1999 on the now defunct, Aesoteric Records, Brett has released over 100 records and remixes for some of dance music's best labels. The list includes Crosstown Rebels, Classic Music Company, 20/20 Vision, Get Physical, Visionquest, Magnetic, Freerange, Cynosure, F-Communications; the list goes on and on. Aside from a busy remix schedule, Brett is currently releasing his own music on the labels Visionquest, Classic Music Company, Get Physical and Cynosure Recordings.

Mikhail Misha Bio
In his hometown of Racha, Georgia, an ancient mountainous region where kings warred and men steal women for their brides, Misha was classically trained in both piano and Georgian folk music. When his family immigrated to America, he sang in a church choir in the East Village. His craft deepened when moving from Brooklyn to Staten Island, fake I.D. in hand, and became exposed to the New York City club scene. It was on the dance floor that he discovered the significance of sound. The happiness of the moving bodies was a curiosity. At 16, a ten hour set by Danny Tenaglia left Misha knowing he was meant to create house music.

His thoughtful soundscapes tell a story for those on the floor, invoking colorful patterns that keep the body winding through his set. The architecture of his tracks are informed by a playful understanding of complicated rhythms. Haunting and melodic, Misha’s technique rests in a precise mix that invokes a sound rich in texture. Informed by the work of Anthony Collins, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, and Matthew Johnson, he appreciates pioneers of emotional sounds. Though his track selection is careful, Misha seeks points of interesting connection between beats that goes beyond the traditional and expected. His is a sound that knows what the body needs to keep the party vibrating long after the rising sun lets the crowd know just how good life really is
