International ArtExpo è lieta di annunciare l’inaugurazione di BorderBody | Mixing Futures - festival internazionale di fotografia, video arte e performing art, che si terrà a Bari presso il Palazzo Barone Ferrara, negli spazi espositivi di Banca Apulia, dal 17 al 28 aprile 2014.
La mostra BorderBody | Mixing Futures è il terzo ed ultimo appuntamento del ciclo “BorderBody | Mixing Cities, Identities, Futures”.
Mixing Futures lancia uno sguardo su quelli che saranno i futuri possibili di questo ciclo continuo di ibridazione ed evoluzione della nostra società. Le molteplici modalità di comunicazione locale e globale; l’innesto di moderne tecnologie nel quotidiano; l’utilizzo sostenibile delle risorse naturali, l’integrazione di capitale umano, culturale e sociale; la libera diffusione e disponibilità della conoscenza e della creatività, si innestano e coesistono assieme per consentire la nascita di smart communities efficienti e socialmente innovative.
Per l’evento sono stati selezionati più di trenta artisti internazionali provenienti da Spagna, Brasile, Francia, America, Inghilterra, Australia, Germania, Serbia, Italia, Turchia, Colombia, Romania, Egitto, Ecuador e Portogallo. Una sezione speciale sarà dedicata all’arte contemporanea argentina con una selezione di video arte curata in collaborazione con la gallerista Laura Haber. Tra gli artisti invitati si potranno ammirare le opere fotografiche di Marko Stamatovic, artista serbo di fama internazionale e fondatore del “FOTORAMA International art photography festival”, uno dei festival di fotografia più importante dell’Est Europa. La sera dell’opening inoltre si assisterà alla performance live del sound artist statunitense NK Riot (Los Angeles).

International video-art, photography and performing art festival
Openings: April 17, 2014
BorderBody - Mixing Futures, international art festival of photography, video art and performing art will be held in the prestigious Palazzo Barone Ferrara in Bari (Italy), from the 17 to the 28 of April 2014.
BorderBody exhibitions cycle is conceived as a diffused and nomadic festival in different places of the world. Mixing Futures, the final chapter of this 3-event cycle, explores the future visions of our society, subjected to a process of continuous evolution and cultural hybridization. People, backgrounds, societies, progress and all their inputs creates hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world. Mixing sustainable transport, modern (ICT) communication infrastructure, sustainable economic development, and wise management of natural resources, human, intellectual and social capital, is the key to reach a future better life quality.
More than 30 artists from all-over the world have been selected to take part in the exhibition. A special section of the festival will be dedicated to the Argentinean Contemporary Art, with a selection of video artists curated by the gallerist Laura Haber. Among the invited artists, it will be possible to admire the photographic works of Marko Stamatovic, Serbian artist founder of “FOTORAMA International art photography festival”, one of the most important photo festival of East-Europe. During the opening night there will be the live performance of the American sound artist NK Riot (Los Angeles).
