Since the dawn of time, women have been constricted from fully showcasing their inner strengths, talents, and intelligence. More than ever before women are being objectified by the media and social platforms, yet there are also strong, empowered women cultivating and sharing their talents. Even though there’s still a long way to go, women are increasingly becoming leaders in the workforce, politics, and the art world.
"Femme Fatale" is a celebration of this feminine power and the rise of the independent, go-getter woman in the new millennium. Women are natural creators; art is their inherent terrain and the landscape upon which their fierce independence can greatly flourish. “Femme Fatale” features work by Polet Guzman, Azure McBride, Sofia Reeser del Rio, and Angela Viens. These female artists strive to celebrate the empowerment of their individual selves in order to truly be the badasses they were meant to be.
