When you think of whisky your mind immediately wanders to Scotland and Ireland, but whisky is made in Sweden too! Founded in 1999 by a group of Swedish whisky enthusiasts, Mackmyra Whisky now makes several different flavors and was, as the first Nordic distillery, named European Spirits Producer of the Year in 2012 at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in London. Their unique offering includes the Mackmyra Reserve where customers are offered the opportunity to track their own personal 30-liter cask from production through maturation to final bottling, at a time of the customer's own choosing, creating a highly personalized whisky.
