JAMES GORTNER & ANN LIV YOUNG present "Sherrapy"
THIS THURSDAY, May 30th from 12-7pm, and keeping with the spirit of "The Lovers," James will host performance artist, and his dear friend Ann Liv Young in a solo performance at the gallery. She will employ her powers of self-help in life and love, as stage persona "Sherry" called Sherrapy.
Ann Liv Young is an internationally recognized choreographer and performance artist. She was born on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and has been creating Performance work in New York for the past decade. She's one of the youngest artists whose work has been presented at major venues in New York City and Europe such as P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center, Brooklyn Museum, Impulstanz, Springdance, Kampnagel, Inkonst, Gessnerallee, Theatre de la Bastille, Black Box Theater, NADA Hudson and was short listed for the Venice Biennale in 2013.
James Gortner's stunning exhibition, "The Lovers" closes this Saturday, June 1st. If you haven't made it by the gallery yet to see this amazing exhibition, we strongly encourage you to do so.
