All Of A Sudden
May 2-4, 8pm
Abrons Arts Center
Tickets: https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/ 920741
All Of A Sudden is a new collaboration between choreographer Jack Ferver and collaborator Joshua Lubin-Levy, based on the film (also a play) Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams, about a young girl driven insane after witnessing her cousin's murder and the doctor who attempts to help her. The two are joined by performer Jacob Slominski in a work that hysterically shifts and breaks apart notions of play-acting, role playing, and friendship, exploding the moment when we are so overwhelmed we must ask for help, where reality becomes so heavy we bring in others (real or imaginary) to help shoulder the burden.
Set: Marc Swanson
Music: Roarke Menzies
Costumes: Reid Bartelme
All of a Sudden was created through residencies and support from The Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography at Florida State University, Bard College, and Abrons Art Center.
This work is also made possible with commissioning support from the Jerome Foundation.

Leave the computer, step off the bar stool, come play in a new way, nurturing and refreshing your spirit with delicious *RAW VEGAN* chocolate treats! Connection fuels our creativity and opens our hearts.
Come experience blissful inner joy while tasting some chocolate treats lovingly prepared by Raw Chefs Dan, Sarah Eve, and Sally!
The Mayans and Aztecs believed the cacao tree was given to them by the gods; Aztec legend shares that the god Quetzalcoatl brought the cacao from the heavens to the sacred gardens of the priests. The chocolate bean became so valuable that it was used as a form of currency, given the name "black gold" by Spanish conquistadors who introduced chocolate to Europe. The Greek genus “theobroma cacao” also translates to "food of the gods".
Raw Chef Dan of Quintessence is cordially opening up his home/professional kitchen to celebrate with us all. The Raw Vegan Sanctuary is an open-style kitchen so we all get to learn RAW VEGAN prep techniques in addition to eating. Participatory YUM!
Let us gather and rejoice with some sacred, delicious raw vegan CHOCOLATE and DESSERTS. There will be a demonstration of how to prepare a fabulous cacao infused treat and you get to take the recipe take home with you, in addition to a spread of enchanting, unique raw vegan delicacies.
We will have a night of mmm-mmm-yummy *RAW VEGAN* chocolaty truffles and cake in addition to some fruity sweets. Come to taste a spread of magical healthy treats, enjoy fabulous conversation, listen to great music, and meet new friends.
All are welcome- gods/goddesses, singles, couples, friends, raw vegans, chocolate lovers, and the curious alike!!!
Energy Exchange: $25 per person RSVP/ $30 at the door.

The event is BYOB optional (chocolate and wine together makes an impeccable pairing)*.
*In addition to promoting healthy mental and emotional states, raw cacao beans have enormously positive effects on the cardiovascular system in the body. Cacao contains polyphenols, the same beneficial antioxidants contained in red wine. It is entirely possible to enjoy the health benefits of drinking the recommended "daily glass of wine" without consuming alcohol by eating chocolate but can you imagine how fabulous you will feel if you combine the two? Yup. Raw chocolate LOVE.
