Barnes & Noble 86th Street And Lex
Join us at NYC's Upper East Side Barnes & Noble on Monday, July 28 at 7:00pm for a reading and signing of Stephen Petronio's new memoir, CONFESSIONS OF A MOTION ADDICT, including a short performance by the Company.
"Like his choreography, Petronio's words tumble onto the page with a speed and sensuality that is just this side of illicit. What a rush!" - Wendy Perron, Author of THROUGH THE EYES OF A DANCER
“Confessions is messy — and therefore exciting: the work of an artist making sense of his world.... It calls to mind Making Tracks, Debbie Harry’s similarly messy — and similarly impactful — biography of Blondie.” - Metrosource
See you there!

The Retention Cycle
7/28 AND 7/29
7PM
Born from a series of workshops done in 2012 and 2013, The Retention Cycle by A.A.Garcia is a play presented in three parts, that explores humanity’s need to “retain and remember what we have done”
Part I- In Darkness, Our Voices Echo tells the story of two candidates chosen to go on the world’s first functioning time machine. They have been put through seven days of rigorous tests wherein they have been informed completely of the other’s life. In the moments before entering the machine they discuss the repetition of mistakes, their past choices, who they really are and what could happen if things changed.
Run Time 20 min
Cast: Phaedra Lewis and Adam Mahieddine
Part II- Beneath My Skin and Behind My Eyes - A man at the end of his life has been confronted with the choice of reincarnation. A machine put in charge of reconstructing his body asks him questions about his life, and what led him to make the choice of becoming someone completely new but retaining the darkest moments of his past.
- Run Time 10 min
Cast: Patrick Mazdig Rolando Chuzan and Andre Urban
Part III- The Tongue I Learned to Pray In – takes place years after an event wiped out most of the population. Living in a solitary wooded section of the devastated land, two men have adopted each other in roles of father and son. They discuss the retention of faith in a world where most faith has been proven false or fruitless, while a fire burns just outside their doorstep. Run Time 30 min
Cast: Branden Wallace and Gabriel Rodriguez
7/28 & 7/29 7:00PM
Tickets: $22
