Chris Barreto is a Brazilian artist who believes that Art is a healing tool for the human being. She follows her own philosophy that human being is art itself: “BEHUMANART” - “ We are unique and divine, a one of a kind piece of the infinite universe. Human as art , can be translated as : We are creatures Godly made, with unique characteristics ,full of textures and feelings”.
Chris is a lifestyle artist who expresses her artwork through not only painting, but as well as fashion, home decor, accessories and the performing arts. Her key concept is authenticity and her designs are always unique, original, colorful, avant-garde, filled with intense colors, textures, and mixed medium.
As a artist and a designer, Chris is known to dress the famous pop stars like Madonna and Dixie Chicks. Her work has been featured in the Hollywood movie called “Hitch”, Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Natural History in New York, and as well as Cirque du Soleil. Chris also believes in given back and also supports the non profit organization Gifted Hands who provides outreach to New York City’s undeserved communities through art programs.” I believe that the most rewarding projects are the ones that can create a better world”.
