BOFFO invites you to celebrate with Kenneth Pietrobono and view elements of his latest work SELECTIONS FROM THE MODERN LANDSCAPE, currently on view with NYC Parks in Jackson Square, presented by the Jackson Square Alliance. In the project, existing plant life from the park is renamed to reflect the surrounding social, political and economic environment. With names such as Class Barrier, Comfort, Displacement and Market Force, the project aims to encourage conversation and thought on the complex and contradictory environment of the modern landscape.
Prints, notecards and renamed plants from SELECTIONS FROM THE MODERN LANDSCAPE and a similarly themed project, THE NATIONAL ROSE GARDEN, will be on display and available for purchase.

Kenneth Pietrobono is a New York based artist whose work focuses on political and social critique. Through photography, works on paper and installations, his work presents reflections of the civic and social environment. With alteration of language, imagery and context he works to make the underlying cultural experience more visible in the landscape.
