For many of us, starting to use herbal medicine can be an intimidating task. Yet it has been used by our ancestors since time immemorial. We have become a society that has delegated our health & wellness to the "healthcare specialists." Let us help you regain some of your own healing intuition.
Come spend a day being nourished and inspired by healing plants. Learn how you can prepare some of your own herbal remedies. A very balancing & empowering ability!
In this workshop, we will begin by exploring Western herbal traditions and the basic uses of herbs in daily practice. We will walk through the gardens and discuss how particular herbs have been used traditionally. We will also identify some of the common backyard "weeds" that are actually very useful healing plants. We will harvest a variety of plants that we are cultivating & growing to give a demonstration on how to make tinctures, infused oils and salves. This will provide you with information so you will be able to start your own natural medicine chest at home. Resource list will also be provided.
Cost: $100 + $25 for materials
