It celebrates the tenacity that playwrights possess in the face of challenging economic times which has accompanied the closing of many off-off Broadway theaters and performances spaces, traditionally the fertile ground where theater artists developed their craft.

THEATERSPEAK was created in 2009 to support theater artists by the sharing of information and resources through interview and discourse. This is Theaterspeak’s first installation event.
