JOB OPP: DESIGN DIR @ MAKEUP FOREVER
Main Job Objective:
- Responsible for overseeing and executing a unified artistic direction for the brand, inclusive of maintaining the brand look and feel and bringing consistency to all materials developed within the US office.
- Establish overall guidelines and best practices for the U.S. Creative Services department
-Responsible for producing high-quality design solutions across various mediums that meet both internal creative standards and specific business goals assigned to each creative project.
-Must have experience with advertising campaigns, product packaging, and in-store visuals.
- Liaise with the Creative Director based in Paris to ensure consistent communication
between New York and Paris HQ
- Oversee and direct the Graphic Design Coordinator who will execute all internal, external and POS visual layouts: creating and manipulating various brand images for presentations, packaging, catalogs and other collateral for the online/in-store retail environment and for print publication.
Education: Bachelor degree required (BA or BS) in Graphic Design, Fine Art or related degree
Work Experience: Minimum 2-4 years experience in graphic design
Special Skills: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Knowledge of HTML, FBML, and Flash
Strong understanding of branding and consistent messaging through traditional print advertising and direct to customer marketing. Demonstrated creative sense and ability with a trend and market focus.
Ability to work independently and juggle multiple deadlines and projects. Strong talent for all elements of design, layout and typography with a sharp attention to details. Retouching skills a plus (major beauty retouching will be freelanced out, but overseen by this position)
