Jack Ferver presents one of his early works, originally commissioned by the New Museum in 2008: I Am Trying To Hear Myself. The performance is a tense and hilarious meditation on the disappointment and humiliation that comes with the idealization of young love. Described by the New York Times as "restless, visceral, and often painful... sympathetic as it is bitingly corrosive", I Am Trying To Hear Myself is signature Ferver, with his mix of manic text, harsh repetitive choreography, songs and screaming.

Choreographed and Written by Jack Ferver
Performed by Jack Ferver, Reid Bartelme and Tyler Phillips
