Join us at Patagonia Bowery for an evening with the founders of Bureo, a new skateboard company helping to reduce plastic pollution in our oceans. Bureo makes its boards in Chile through an innovative initiative called Net Positiva, the country's first program dedicated to collecting and recycling old fishing nets. Net Positiva provides fishermen with environmentally sound net-disposal points, and Bureo receives highly recyclable and durable raw materials that they use to make their skateboard decks.
Share some brews from Montauk Brewing, enjoy live music by Saylor and learn about Bureo's southern adventures. Surfrider Foundation will also be on hand to share their campaigns.
