
"Simple Things," a new web series created by Anthony Marinelli, is a pulp/noir/thriller about a mild-mannered suburban florist (Rick Schneider) whose simple life becomes very complicated when he meets a dark, mysterious woman (Amanda Greer) and her menacing husband (Joseph Cassese).
The series consists of 8 episodes and also features John Reoli, Jillian Gottlieb, and Peter Evangelista.
This event is being held to kick-off a fundraising campaign with the goal to begin production in June, 2014. "Simple Things" is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts services organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

We all need to open our bodies up, feel good, and PARTY!
Wear something fun and comfortable, get ready to move and relax, all levels, stiff or flexible, and be ready to have FUN. We will incorporate dance into the yoga session. If you have a mat, block, strap, or blankets, feel free to bring them. Suggested donation: $6 or more

Bio of Gerry Visco:
Gerry Visco has been practicing yoga since the age of 16, back when it wasn't chic. She is an Iyengar trained yoga teacher and practitioner who was certified to teach yoga by the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York (a two year program). She writes and takes photographs for Interview Magazine and Hyperallergic and has performed in numerous films and live productions, such as "FCKNLZ on Broadway" at the Museum of Arts and Design, Pussy Faggot, Vandam, the R Bar, Dixon Place, Theater for the New City, Cameo Gallery, The Wild Project, the Creative Time Gala, Envoy Gallery, The Slipper Room, the Bowery Electric, Chantal’s House of Shame in Berlin, on television in "Oddities," assorted cool music videos like Sharon Needle’s “Call Me on the Ouija Board” and Ssion’s Luvv Bazaar, and in several full-length feature films, including Woody Allen’s “Stardust Memories," Abel Ferrara’s recent “4.44 Last Day on Earth,” and in the forthcoming "Hellaware." Visco currently writes for Interview Magazine and Hyperallergic. She’s written hundreds of articles that have appeared in publications including New York Press, Vice, and Out Magazine. Gerry holds a BA in Literature, an MFA in Writing, an MS in Journalism from Columbia University, and an AAS from FIT. She’s currently writing a memoir about her colorful life as muse, fag hag, renegade, and rent girl, in the gritty glamorous world of New York City during the 1970s and 1980s. She has a day job, barely sleeps, and is illegally blonde at large on the Upper East Side, so watch out!
