It's the end of summer and back to school. And for our salonistas back to the salon. Home made delicacies are waiting for you, so is our "killer" white sangria. Come meet and make new friends. The salon will take place on a special night: The Fashion Night Out, September 6th from 8pm till midnight. An original art work will be won by one of you salonistas at the raffle that comes with the admission of $30. Exhibiting Artist:

SHEpHERd (Susana Villa) SHEpHERd (Susana Villa) is a Spaniard painter currently living and working in Manhattan, NY. She studied at The Fine Arts School of Conservation and Restoration in Madrid (Spain), specializing in painting. Also she attended the New York Academy of Art. She will be exhibiting paintings which are part of the series "Golden Cage". Her work speaks about how certain people lose part of their identity when they embark on a relationship. This is more evident in women because of their sacrificial nature and its historical role of subjugation to man. The paintings question whether in our modern society the image of women subject to the man is really something which exists or it is perhaps a genetic memory which has been imprinted in today's woman. The vision of the Artist is represented by mixing the loss of identity and power with some ironic situations. This situations create a contrast of messages shown in a fusion of letters and pictorial textures. www.studioShepherd.com

Darius Scheider and Andreas Arnold Two guitar players with two different background, one with a Flamenco culture and the other with a Gypsy culture meet up at the intersection of jazz and pop music. They propose to discover some classic songs in an instrumental version where improvisation, hearing and sharing will drive this unexpected meeting.
