Derek.J LUXXready to wear LUXX ready-to-wear is an Edmonton based Fashion Design Company that designs and is produced solely in Edmonton, Alberta. The LUXX heritage is rooted in producing sophisticated, sleek, polished ready-to-wear for the modern woman of today. Modern shapes with a classic edge is the motto that drives LUXX. LUXX's products embrace the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship with the highest standards of creativity. LUXX is owned and operated by creator Derek Jagodzinsky. Derek has acquired his Bachelors of Design from the University of Alberta; other accomplishments include an internship in New York with fashion designer Michael Kaye Couture. This opportunity provided Derek with further insight about the business behind fashion from an international perspective while based in New York. This internship also allowed Derek to fully understand the fine craftsmanship of couture and the art of dressing women of style and class. Academic achievements include studying the history of fashion/design, art classes, and sculpture. As it is important to understand where fashion derived form to know where it is going. Derek's creativity stretches beyond fashion receiving recognition in the areas of sculpture and photography. Derek has a passion for fashion, which is apparent with his drive and determination, and love for his field of work. The target market for LUXX is a style conscious woman in business who want to look professional and effortlessly chic in the workplace or anywhere life takes her. LUXX thinks local but at an international level with design, quality and craftsmanship that is world class. LUXX clothing is solely produced in Edmonton, and is handmade with small quantity runs, ensuring high quality craftsmanship.
