This event has been created to honor and support black faces in the style world.
It’s a forward-‐ looking event positioning brands targeting
The black consumer in the forefront of the media mind and honoring
Black + brown style entrepreneurs for their continuing contributions to the style community.
This event is hosted by Delania Dixon, VH1, The Gossip Table
Awards: Super-‐model Beverly Johnson, celebrating the 40th Anniversary
of her Vogue cover, will be honored with the first Color of Beauty Icon Award.
Other awards include:
Black Beauty; 2014’s Best Style Product, Model of the Year,
Stylist of the Year;
Entrepreneur of the Year,
Designer of the Year
+ Influencer of the Year.
Panels:
Two panel discussions focused on the black consumer.
The first will focus on diversity issues enveloping the fashion world
–
From black faces on the catwalks and covers to the diversification
of the black consumer.
The second panel will discuss issues surrounding black entrepreneurship
In the style world.
