Exquisite Contraption:

Opening February 27, 6pm +

Opening reception: Thursday, February 27th, 6pm – on

The grand unveiling of the Exquisite Contraption, our first major exhibition of 2014.
Exquisite Contraption, a collaboratively conceived and constructed machine that spans the entire building, will facilitate a weekly “family photograph.” Over the next year, the Flux community will exist inside the machine, activating it at the end of weekly Monday meetings to set into motion a series of automated steps that move throughout the building to announce, instruct, prepare, and photograph those gathered. At the end of its life, Exquisite Contraption will have produced a year-long record of residents and guests who have gathered inside the machine.
We hope you will join us as we set the contraption in motion for the very first time, next Thursday, 6pm onwards.

We are still smiling from the incredible evening of Fluxiness last month at our Not-So-Silent Auction. We surpassed our fundraising goal for the event by far, and had a great time seeing friends old and new. THANK YOU -- our incredible line up of events and exhibitions for this year is only made better by your generous support.
Take a look at photos from the event, (by Ayden Grout), and don't miss the .gifs from ourFluxtime Photobooth! Thanks to creators Jason Eppink, Sean McIntyre, and Reid Bingham for the super-Fluxy momentos from the evening.
If you couldn't make it but still want to contribute, we always welcome donations!

We've expanded our digital-collective-self to give you all an inside look at Flux Factory. Check us out (and follow!) on InstagramVine, and Tumblr, as well as our ol' favs, Facebook andTwitter for updates on events, exhibition progress, and collective processes of all sorts. Now both you and Artist-in-Residence Phuc can know the answer to "What will our first Vine video be?"
