PEOPLE, NOW THAT WE'RE ALONE is the internal landscape of a real live fictional exhibitionist named Kitchen Steve, articulated through installation and a music performance. Kitchen Steve moves through impulses to disclose, confess, and disrobe, navigating consequence or inconsequence. He is a commercial musician and a songwriter, dealing with his own impulses and inheritance. He is a technology of desire and horror. He performs his songs inside a set of his own design and trappings. Safety is in question. He is a world of his own making, or unmaking. He engages with the tools available to him, he invites the viewer inside.
