Lesley Bannatyne is the author of five books on the history, literature, and contemporary celebration of Halloween. She has been featured on the History Channel and in Time Magazine, Slate, National Geographic, and contributed the Halloween article to World Book Encyclopedia. From 2007 to 2009, she and several compatriots held the Guinness World Record for Largest Halloween Gathering. Christine Erickson is the List Editor at Mashable, where she helps manage an editorial team that covers everything from web culture and viral news to DIY and lifestyle. She joined Mashable as a features intern in 2011. A Virginia transplant, she now lives in Brooklyn and has never worn a store-bought Halloween costume in her life.
