• Staring out onto the skyline, our eyes start to squint in the sun’s heat. Lines once invisible to the naked eye grow stronger, deeper until we see them pulsating in front of us. Waves crash around us as we look out onto the five boroughs, the depths of summer chasing us through loud trains and secret sidestreets. We feel overwhelmed, unsure until we realize the light, the heat, the water, the sound keep us going, keep us current. They are currents, everflowing life forces in the face of adversity.
